The first step in joining Lifesize Cloud is to sign up for an account and then download the app. Need help signing up?
After you sign in, you’ll see the main window with these options:
- call someone from the directory
- call someone from your list of recent calls
- invite someone to call you
- join a meeting
- start a chat
- dial a video number directly

|Call someone from the directory
Select , the person to call, and . Learn more about calling.
To add a personal contact to your directory, click + (plus sign next to search) and enter their name and dial string.

To show missed calls only in Recents, select Missed.
|Invite someone to call you
Select and from Invite someone to call me, email an invitation with calling info or schedule the call from your calendar. You can invite anyone to call you, even if they are not Cloud users.
|Invite someone to sign up for a Lifesize Cloud account
Select and Invite. Your email application opens a new message. Add email addresses of those you want to join your company's Lifesize Cloud group.
|Join a meeting
Select , the meeting name, and .
|Create a meeting
Select and + (plus sign next to search).
You can chat at any time with someone whose device supports chat. Select and + (plus sign next to search) to show users available to chat.
|Enter a number
Select , enter the number, and select Dial. You can enter a Cloud user's number or an IP address or URI for a video system that's not in your Cloud directory. External systems must be on a public IP or URI.

- What's my number?
Select Account > My Info.
- Can I call someone who's not in my directory?
Yes. You can enter anyone's video number in .
- How do I know if someone tried to call me (and I missed the call)?
You'll see a numeral on indicating the number of missed calls. The system tray icon also shows a numeral.
- How do I share data in a call?
Select (from the bottom of your call screen). Learn more about presenting.
- I have a Lifesize Icon video system. How do I know if it's connected to Lifesize Cloud?
From the Icon main screen, navigate to > to view the status of the system. If it's connected, Ready shows for Communications > Lifesize Cloud Service.
- Can I reinstall the app? And does this affect my Cloud account?
Install the app on all your devices at any time: upgrades occur automatically (including your Icon, if it's connected to Lifesize Cloud). Incoming calls ring all devices (including your connected Icon). Reinstalling the app will not affect your Cloud account.
- How do I change my password?
When you're logged in to the app, select Account > Change Password. Passwords must be between 8 and 32 characters in length and use standard ASCII characters. You can also change your profile: select Account > Manage Account and sign in to change your display name, email address, and password.
- How do I know if I'm a Cloud account manager?
If you sign in to the web console to manage other user accounts, you are an account manager. If you've signed up as an account manager by mistake, you won't see the rest of your company in the directory on your app. Because there can be only one account manager for a Cloud group, you must sign up as a standard user instead. Contact your Lifesize representative for help signing up for a Cloud user account.
