Lifesize: In the Community

The power of HD video conferencing is transformative. We see it every day. From rural school districts using video to go on virtual field trips around the world and doctors using telemedicine to improve a patient’s access to health care to organizations large and small who are making their meetings more productive, recruiting the best global talent and improving employee morale with flexible work schedules, there’s no doubt that video conferencing technology has the power to change the world for the better.

There are a number of philanthropic organizations over the years with whom we’ve had the pleasure of working—organizations that are using video to assist with basic human needs, enrich the lives of others and make our world a happier, healthier place. We’re delighted to share those stories with you.

Make a wish

When a young girl made the simple wish to just be a part of her fifth-grade class, Lifesize worked with her regional channel partner to set up a virtual classroom in her bedroom.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is one of the most influential philanthropic organizations in the United States. When their Orlando office needed a video conferencing system to communicate with important constituents, Lifesize donated a system for their main conference room.

One World Theatre

Lifesize teamed up with One World Theatre (a local children’s community theatre) and the Red Cross to provide an HD video conferencing system to broadcast the production of Beauty and the Beast to military parents who were serving in various bases in Iraq.
