Colin Buechler, LifeSize Chief Executive Officer and Logitech Senior Vice President

Colin Buechler Colin Buechler is the CEO of LifeSize and a Logitech Senior Vice President.

He was most recently the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for LifeSize. Since joining the LifeSize team in 2007, Colin has codeveloped the innovative product road map and led the global sales and marketing organization. Colin was the architect of a growth model and demand-generation engine that contributed to record revenue growth, including a 60 percent increase in year-over-year growth that was three times the industry average. His leadership also saw LifeSize double in size to more than 500 employees with a truly global footprint across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. 

Colin joined LifeSize after five years as a Vice President at Dell, initially serving as VP of Corporate Strategy at a time when Dell started its growth from $35B to $55B organically. His responsibilities were in sales, marketing and operations in new product categories and high-growth segments. Colin was also the architect for Dell’s growth model for midmarket business, which became the fastest growing, most profitable segment in the Americas. 

Prior to Dell, Colin worked in venture capital at eVolution Global Partners, a Kleiner Perkins/Texas Pacific Group fund, and was in strategy consulting in the technology industry with Bain & Company, A. T. Kearney and Andersen Consulting. 

Colin holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Lovell, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Lovell Michael Lovell joined LifeSize in September 2008 and brings nearly twenty years of financial, operational and corporate banking experience. Prior to serving as CFO, Michael was the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for nearly three years at LifeSize. Previously, Michael was the VP of Finance at Surgient, a software-as-a-service provider of virtualization technology. He also served as the CFO and VP of Operations of NewportWorks, a provider of real estate–related voice-technology solutions, where he managed the company’s acquisition by the First American Title Company. Michael began his career as a financial analyst with Wells Fargo Bank, where he also served as a Corporate Relationship Manager after graduating from the company's Credit Management Training Program.

Michael holds a BA in political science and economics from Denison University.

Casey King, Chief Technology Officer

Casey King Casey King has over twenty years of experience designing and building video technology products. As CTO, Casey is responsible for driving LifeSize's technology innovation and strategic product vision. Before joining LifeSize as a Principal Engineer in September 2003, Casey was an AMD Fellow in the Personal Connectivity Solutions group at Advanced Micro Devices. Prior to AMD, he was a Software Architect for Alchemy Semiconductor and also held various product development and leadership roles in the areas of graphics and multimedia at Apple Computer.

Casey began his career as a systems engineer at Link Flight Simulation. He holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Texas.

Alan Hagedorn, Senior Vice President, Operations

Alan Hagerdorn Alan Hagedorn is the Vice President of Operations for LifeSize, responsible for all manufacturing and logistics activities for the company.

Alan brings over 30 years of executive management experience in high technology companies. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations at Polycom, where he was responsible for manufacturing, customer service, information technology and human resources. Prior to joining Polycom, Alan held executive positions at Amati Communications, Network Computing Devices, Anicon, Osborne Computer and Fairchild Test Systems.


Alan holds a bachelor of arts in management from California State University, Fullerton. 

Matt Collier, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Matt Collier As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Matt leads the implementation and growth of new business initiatives and the development of strategic relationships with OEM and technology partners in accordance with overall company strategy.

Matt has over thirty years of experience heading business development, product management and sales teams at technology, service provider and telecommunication companies. During his career, he has established strategic partnerships with industry-leading companies, led the creation and launch of new data/video collaboration and IP voice services and directed sales teams in the pursuit and achievement of company revenue goals.

Prior to LifeSize, Matt was SVP Voice Application Services at Level 3 Communications. Before Level 3, Matt was Founder/CEO of Telverse Communications, where he launched the first nationally available IP Centrex service in North America (subsequently acquired by Level 3). And prior to that position, Matt held executive and senior posts at Polycom, ViaVideo (subsequently acquired by Polycom), MCI Communications and PictureTel, to name a few. 

Matt is also a Director with the UCI Forum and IMTC, both of which are technology consortia focused on simplifying the world of Unified Video Communications.

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Memphis.

Scott Lomond, Vice President and GM, Cloud Services

Scott Lomond Scott serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Cloud Services for LifeSize and was responsible for the development and launch of the industry’s first hosted video collaboration platform, LifeSize Connections. Prior to LifeSize, he held the role of President and Chief Operating Officer for SightSpeed, Inc., an award-winning provider of Internet video communications, which was acquired by Logitech in 2008.

Scott’s extensive background in high technology and strategic business development has served him in his prior management roles at Ask Jeeves Business Solutions, Iomega and Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Scott holds a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Michael Helmbrecht, Vice President and GM, Video Solutions

Michael Helmbrecht As Vice President and General Manager of Video Solutions, Michael manages the LifeSize video portfolio, including product life-cycle management and product marketing. Prior to LifeSize, he spent nine years with Dell Inc. in a number of executive marketing posts, most recently as the Director of Marketing responsible for leading product line management for data storage and networking in the Americas.

Michael holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of arts in political science from Colgate University.

Joe Bulger, Vice President, Engineering

Joe Bulger Joe has over twenty years of development experience and a long track record of successfully building and leading development teams and projects. Before joining LifeSize in January 2006 as Director of Software Quality Assurance and Program Management, Joe held director-level development positions at Newisys and Net Perceptions, where he was instrumental in overseeing products as they progressed from inception to production. Joe also held other key development roles at Hewlett-Packard, Convex Computer Corporation and the US Department of Defense. As Vice President of Engineering at LifeSize, he is responsible for all product definition, design and development.

Joe holds a master of computer science from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor of computer science from the University of Buffalo. 

Alise Mullins, Vice President, Human Resources

Alise Mullins Alise brings extensive experience in recruiting and staff and office management to LifeSize, where she has been instrumental in building the employee base from the ground up. As VP of Human Resources, Alise is responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies, plans and programs for LifeSize offices worldwide. Before joining LifeSize in March 2003, Alise was founder and president of the Mullins Company, a technical search firm in Austin. Alise also held senior recruiting positions at two of Austin's finest recruiting firms: Pedley Richard and Associates and Lehman Associates International, in which she managed some of the firms’ most successful accounts.

Alise holds a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Texas.

Megan Lueders, Vice President, Global Marketing

Megan Lueders

As Vice President of Global Marketing, Megan is responsible for driving the strategy of the corporate positioning and communications, brand identity, corporate communications, demand generation, marketing operations, public relations, online and offline marketing programs and telemarketing efforts worldwide.

Prior to joining LifeSize in 2005 Megan served in a variety of product marketing roles, where she was responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, for a number of technology companies including Voxpath Networks, Isochron, LLC, and Verizon (formerly GTE).

Megan holds a bachelor of business administration in management from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Megan resides in Austin, Texas with her family and serves as Vice-Chair of Texas 4000 organization and Chairman of the YMCA of Austin, Program Services Board.

Ray Villareal, Vice President, Americas and General Manager, Global Services

Ray Villareal

As Vice President, Americas and General Manager of Global Services, Ray is responsible for building, leading and maintaining the LifeSize Americas team and global services organization.  

Ray has over 20 years of experience building winning businesses and creating sustainable growth models in sales, services, marketing and management roles. Prior to joining LifeSize, Ray gained extensive experience during his tenure at WebEx, later acquired by Cisco, and Compaq/Tandem Computers. He managed world-wide field operations for SumTotal Systems and served as chief executive officer of two venture-backed startups. Most recently, Villareal served as a go-to-market consultant for several technology companies in the collaboration, search and virtualization markets.

Ray holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. 

Simon Claringbold, Vice President, APAC

Simon Claringbold

As Vice President, APAC, Simon manages the operations and strategy across this region, and concurrently serves as the Director for Logitech Singapore Pte Ld.

Simon has over twenty years of global business management experience and was formerly a co-owner and board member of MultiArray, a leader in real estate agency software systems and solutions in Australia. Additionally, Simon has held senior leadership posts at Microsoft Asia Pacific, Avaya, in both Asia Pacific and Europe, eLoyalty, Lucent Technologies and TNT.

Simon holds an undergraduate degree in computer studies, banking and financial.

Andreas Wienold, Vice President, EMEA

Andreas Wienold Andreas Wienold is an experienced technology executive with over eighteen years of experience in the sales and marketing of video conferencing and networking solutions. Andreas joined LifeSize in April 2006, and as Vice President of EMEA he is responsible for LifeSize’s operations, strategy and execution in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Before joining LifeSize, Andreas spent eight years at VCON, holding a series of management positions that culminated in his post as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Prior to VCON, Andreas gained extensive experience in the building and development of partner programs during his tenure as Channel Manager for NetManage Software.
