Logitech Snaps Up LifeSize Communications For $405 Million

“We are moving towards volume deployment of systems,” says LifeSize EMEA vice president, Andreas Weinold. “People are using room systems in their offices, but they want to connect to people out on the road.”

“Infrastructure elements are selling well because of their ability to join everything together at the centre of the network, but it’s UC and collaboration that are driving things,” says Lifesize’s UK sales director, Michael Stephens. “If you talk to most people the idea of collaboration without video doesn’t really exist, so the ability to see people, their reactions and understand the impact you are having is one of the largest parts of collaboration.”
