Lifesize Communications, the global leader in high definition video communications, will showcase products and customers next week at Interop in Las Vegas.
“We are delighted and honored to have Thomas Fenady of Activision (NASDAQ: ATVI), one of our most innovative customers, speaking about his experience with Lifesize products,” said Craig Malloy, CEO of Lifesize. “He will discuss how Activision uses Lifesize HD video products to link international developers to speed production of popular video games like Guitar Hero, Call of Duty 4, and Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground."
Activision’s Thomas Fenady can be seen at two venues at Interop. The first session will take place Tuesday, April 29, from 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm. This complimentary session is part of the Enterprise 2.0 Technology Conference and will feature Fenady presenting a case study and discuss how Activision uses HD video to link international developers to create next-generation games, reduce travel and accelerate their business cycle. Also on hand will be Peter Brockmann, President of Brockmann & Company, a high-tech marketing consulting company. Brockmann is a frequent writer and presenter on issues in communications and business technologies and offers unique insights into how communications and computing technologies change business and change our lives. This session is open to all attendees – “exhibition only” passholders welcome.
Fenady can also be seen at a panel session hosted by Melanie Turek, Principal Analyst, Frost & Sullivan on Wednesday, April 30, from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm. This conference session, entitled, “What You Need to Know about TelePresence and High Definition Video,” addresses the question, “How does the introduction of high definition and fully immersive environments change the video conferencing landscape?” This session explores the latest developments in video conferencing tools and provides the detailed 3rd party analysis needed to weigh the pros and cons of high definition video and telepresence and determine their suitability in your business. An Interop conference pass is required for this session.
Another highlight of the show will be the new Lifesize® Focus™ integrated HD camera and microphone array, now available with the award-winning Lifesize® Express™. Together, Lifesize Express and Lifesize Focus create the world’s first high definition video communication system with a retail price below $5000, delivering an immersive, high definition telepresence experience over existing broadband networks. Sleek, powerful and easy to use, Lifesize® Express with Focus can bring telepresence to any room.
“Seeing is believing – nothing can convey the experience of high definition video like experiencing an actual video call,” said Malloy. “Many companies have static equipment displays or splashy booth graphics, but our high definition video products are the star of our show with live links to our company headquarters in Austin and other locations around the world. We encourage conference attendees to stop by our booth so they can experience telepresence for themselves.”
Compact, simple and elegant, Lifesize Focus features a high definition video camera that delivers full HD 1280x720 video at 30 frames per second. Built to operate in any office or conference room environment, the camera delivers outstanding image quality in a wide range of light conditions. By integrating the microphone array in the camera housing, Lifesize Focus saves space and eliminates clutter.
Interop Las Vegas will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, colocated with Software 2008 and CSI SX: Security Exchange Conference.
