, a division of Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGI) (SIX: LOGN), announced Colin Buechler, formerly senior vice president of sales and marketing, has become the organization’s new CEO. After nine years at the helm, previous CEO Craig Malloy is taking a step back from day-to-day operations but will continue to be an active participant as vice chairman of Lifesize’s supervisory board.
“I am very pleased with the Lifesize team and what they have accomplished under Craig’s leadership,” said Guerrino De Luca, Logitech chairman of the board and acting president and chief executive officer. “Every growing company comes to an inflection point and Lifesize is there now. Colin Buechler’s experience growing the Lifesize business as the leader of sales and marketing, along with his background in strategy and building larger businesses, is what Lifesize needs to continue its success story. I fully trust in Colin’s leadership and vision for Lifesize.”
Since 2007, Buechler has built the go-to-market engine and co-developed the innovative product roadmap that has been instrumental in the company’s success. His leadership drove continuously strong year-over-year sales growth and saw Lifesize double to more than 500 employees with a truly global footprint.
“From inception, Lifesize has had a vision to change the way people communicate and do business,” said Colin Buechler, chief executive officer of Lifesize and Logitech senior vice president. “Through relentless innovation Lifesize fulfills that dream every day. My goal is to make visual communication a part of everyday business collaboration. I’m looking forward to continuing to drive growth and innovation within both the company and the video communications industry, bringing quality visual communication to anyone, anywhere.”
Buechler sees Lifesize’s proven ability to innovate and lead the industry as the company’s core competency. Continuing on this path is his first order of business as CEO – reinforcing the principles, products and partnerships to drive the industry forward in five key categories: mobility, cloud, redefining infrastructure, simplification and total cost of ownership.
