LifeSize™ Expands Global Operations with Appointment to Management Team and New Offices in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong
Former CTO of Dell Joins High Definition Video Communications Company as VP of Engineering
AUSTIN, TX - April 25, 2005 - LifeSize, the high definition video communications company, today announced that Randy Groves, former CTO of Dell [NASDAQ: DELL] has joined the company as vice president of engineering. Randy is responsible for all engineering and development efforts for the company, and will work closely with LifeSize co-founder and CTO Michael Kenoyer to deliver the industry's first high definition video communications products - designed to provide 10 times the quality of existing solutions and unparalleled simplicity for the end user and IT manager. Additionally, LifeSize announced the creation of two international subsidiaries to serve the EMEA and APAC regions. Regional sales executives for the new subsidiaries will be located in London and Hong Kong.

Having previously served as CTO for Dell's product group, Randy was responsible for the architecture and technology direction of all of Dell's product offerings. Prior to that, he was the General Manager of Dell Enterprise Systems Group and led the worldwide development and marketing of Dell's server, storage and systems management software products. Before joining Dell, Randy spent 21 years with IBM where he held many product development roles for IBM's Intel- and RISC-based servers, as well as roles in corporate strategy and RISC microprocessor development and architecture.
