Virtual Field Trips That Are ‘Out of This World’: How NASA Uses LifeSize

For those of you who follow this blog closely, you know we love to highlight our amazing customers that are doing unique, unexpected things with video collaboration technology. Today in honor of Space Day, we’d like to take the opportunity to honor one of our long-standing customers, NASA and their virtual field trip program.

space dayVirtual field trips offer enriching learning experiences to students of all ages, especially those in remote or rural locations. Using video technology, students can visit landmarks across our nation and we’ve seen institutions such as the National World War I Museum, Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the world-famous Smithsonian Museum offer interactive virtual field trip programs. However, NASA has taken their program to another level: out of this world!
