Lauren’s Kids is a non-profit organization based out of South Florida that aims to prevent sexual abuse through awareness and education, and help survivors heal with guidance and support. Every year, the non-profit holds an event called “Walk in My Shoes” which brings together survivors and advocates on a walk across Florida to raise awareness and promote supportive legislation. For this event, individuals walk over 1,500 miles during the months of March and April (which are National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month respectively) to raise money to support this worthy cause.
LifeSize is proud to support Lauren’s Kids and “Walk in My Shoes” by offering live stream technology to help publicize the event and bring in remote attendees. Here is a link to view the live stream of this year’s event: http://laurenskids.org/2014-livestream/.
We admire Lauren Book of Lauren’s Kids for her willingness to share her story and the amazing work she’s done for individuals everywhere. Please visit LaurensKids.org to learn more about this organization today.
