Why Video Communications? Now More Than Ever

In this second edition of LifeSize ViewPoint, we share why video communications is more important today than ever before. As we continue to see strong demand for high quality video over IP networks, interesting use cases are arising and people are experiencing a new generation of video communications. The continued trend towards video-voice-data convergence makes the network ripe for high definition quality video available throughout the organization.

LifeSize at Interop - Booth #1148

Interop Las VegasLifeSize will be LIVE at Interop 2007 in Las Vegas from May 22-24 for a third straight year. After receiving Best of Show recognition for our interactive wine and cheese tasting demonstration last year, we have quite an act to follow - and what an act it will be! The Grossology LIVE program funded with a grant from the National Science Foundation that has been using LifeSize systems for education programs will be presenting "Makin' it Real with LifeSize" - an interactive, distance edutainment experience. This will be the adult version of the program (no, not the Las Vegas adult kind) guaranteed to bring a few good laughs.

Why Video, Why Now?

In this newsletter, we cover the "why video?" question that comes up often, especially among executives and new potential users of the technology. Typically, it is about getting back to the basics and remembering why face-to-face is so important. Over 60% of communication is non-verbal and when travel or in-person meetings are not possible or not desirable, it can be a high risk to make decisions without the confidence that video communication provides.

Read our new Special Report: Why Video Communications? Now More Than Ever PDF. You'll learn about the macro-economic trends driving video usage, the technology drivers and the new generation of video communications and what to expect from the experience.
