As dawn broke on the fourth and final day of Dreamforce, attendees were relieved to see that clear and dry skies awaited them outside San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The year’s event was bigger than ever and there is always a certain excitement in the air when such innovative minds and companies gather all in one place.

One topic of focus at Dreamforce 2013 was of course, mobile. This was in large part due to the announcement of Salesforce 1, salesforce.com’s new mobile platform. The general consensus at the event was that if you can’t do it on mobile, it won’t be around in a couple of years. This shift in consumer behavior was a major factor in the development of LiveOps Engage®, the industry’s first integrated, multichannel desktop. Ten years ago, who knew that in addition to our wallet and keys, we wouldn’t be leaving our houses without our handy phone/camera/email/social media channels/ etc.? The bottom line is customers are now multichannel, so your company’s service must be too.

This was further illustrated through a great acronym from Vala Afshar, the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Officer of Extreme Networks, and a notable industry influencer. Afshar advised Dreamforce attendees that the time has come to be S.O.C.I.A.L: Sincere, Open Collaborative, Interested, Authentic, Likeable. We couldn’t agree more, which is why we work to instill all of those qualities in our team of Super Agents. Through our empowering technology, training and eye for talent, we’re proud to boast a team of social Super Agents that embrace the social consumer and are able to guide them through a memorable customer journey.

From Deepak Chopra and Green Day to Petra Nemcova and Sean Penn, there certainly was no shortage of big names, (or big data), at this year’s technology event extraordinaire. It is evident that cloud computing has helped open up new ways to sell, market and succeed and there is no shortage of companies working to identify a problem and harness the power of the cloud to solve it. We are honored to be among those innovative salesforce.com partner companies and to have been a part of such an extraordinary event that has left us excited for what is to come.

Until next year, San Francisco…stay cloudy.
