Lifesize, the high definition video communications company, today announced that it has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal for being one of the 2006 Top 10 Best Places to Work in Central Texas. With over 150 companies having been nominated and evaluated, Lifesize placed ninth on the publication's annual ranking of medium sized businesses.

To be considered for the recognition, companies were required to submit a nomination describing work culture and incentives. Employees were then asked to respond to an online survey providing anonymous feedback on areas such as overall job satisfaction, confidence in management and work-life balance.

Lifesize was recognized by the Austin Business Journal for its commitment to personal excellence that fosters trust, respect and cooperation, and a culture that encourages each employee – as an owner of the company – to be intellectually curious and individually accountable. Having been in business for only three years yet experiencing rapid growth, Lifesize has maintained a work environment that encourages employees to take risks, challenge decisions and initiate actions. Lifesize joins many well-established companies on the annual ranking, making its Top 10 placement a tremendous achievement.

“Lifesize is a great place to work because we hire great people,” said Craig Malloy, CEO of Lifesize. “I am extremely proud of our employees, and am honored that these talented individuals have created a culture that is both inspiring and rewarding.”
