Doster Construction builds everything from multifamily housing and school projects to commercial buildings and large medical facilities. And with 20 to 30 jobs going on at a given time, having an effective communication platform is vital for their business operations. We interviewed IT Manager CJ Rainer to learn more about how Doster Construction uses Lifesize.
Doster Construction looked to Lifesize for a video conferencing solution that was easy to deploy, manage and use. For the remote installation, CJ just sends a box with a Lifesize Phone and an Icon camera system to job sites around the country, where the construction crews on site can plug in and set up the systems in about 10 minutes.
CJ is able to centrally manage all video systems from the web-based Admin Console, where he can add users and create virtual meeting rooms as needed. For users, the touchscreen interface of the Lifesize Phone makes it easy to find the job site or person they need to talk to and make a call. Project managers can avoid travel and easily connect with construction crews over video to go over blueprints and troubleshoot issues in real-time to keep projects on track and on time.
