The Lifesize Icon 450 has been named a Bronze winner for the Most Innovative Product of the Year in the 2017 Best in Biz Awards International Enterprise category. We’re particularly honored because this is the only independent global business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.
Innovation to Drive Huddle Room Productivity
We created the Icon 450 specifically to bring easy, secure, high-definition video collaboration to the huddle room.
Why the huddle room?
Open office spaces have grown in popularity over the past decade, but more organizations are now shifting to a “hybrid” office — private spaces, open cubicle banks and huddle rooms (small rooms that can accommodate up to six people).
There are 30 million of these small conference rooms globally, according to Frost & Sullivan, and they are often the go-to rooms for collaboration. Unfortunately, huddle rooms are notoriously difficult to equip with video collaboration technology due to challenging (aka smaller room) dimensions, and many companies struggle to justify spending money on the traditionally cost-prohibitive equipment for these rooms.
That’s where Lifesize comes in.
We developed the Icon 450 to address the specific nature and challenges of the huddle room. The camera includes a smart-framing sensor that automatically captures the room and brings everyone into the picture. Manual camera controls also allow users to customize the position when appropriate. Additionally, the Icon 450 features a sharp, wide-angle lens that offers an 82-degree horizontal field of view and a 59-degree vertical field of view — perfect for most huddle room dimensions.
In addition, with the Lifesize Icon calendar integration, customers can easily subscribe their HD camera and phone systems to their Microsoft® Office 365®, Google Apps for Work™ or Microsoft® Exchange 2013 calendar to join meetings right on time with a simple click.
This easy, most intuitive meeting room experience significantly streamlines the end user’s experience and reduces the IT department’s time spent on training and troubleshooting.
And of course, this system connects seamlessly with our Lifesize app, creating an effortless collaboration hub that’s easy to use and manage.
