For those not familiar, Gartner, Inc.’s Magic Quadrant is among the most rigorous and revered analyst reports for numerous technology industry segments, including the meeting solutions that “blend communications, collaboration and content sharing to enable virtual meeting scenarios to satisfy a variety of use cases.” Today, for the second consecutive year, Lifesize has been named a Visionary in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Meeting Solutions1, a prestigious evaluation of 15 vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Gartner describes Visionaries as “typically having important, unique and/or well-developed collaboration capabilities in their meeting solutions. They provide key innovations that point to the future of this market, and have the features needed to satisfy a variety of meeting solution use cases.” Consistency and innovation are undeniably difficult to achieve during the uncertainty and continued flux brought on by a global pandemic, but we believe consistency in our completeness of vision and ability to execute – particularly over the last six months – contributed to Lifesize’s positioning as a repeat Visionary in this year’s Magic Quadrant for Meeting Solutions.

From the ways in which we responded to the pandemic and supported customers to “keep the world working,” to how we maintain reliability through platform investments, to innovation and partnerships that will gradually help organizations around the globe return to the workplace, Lifesize has remained focused on providing meeting solutions that address the challenges our customers face while adapting their business models to the ‘next normal.’ Even following the evaluation period for this year’s report, we have continued to make major strides in building out our meeting solutions portfolio, highlighted by our recent acquisition of advanced collaboration and digital whiteboarding pioneer Kaptivo.

Per the new Magic Quadrant report, “By 2024, remote work and changing workforce demographics will impact enterprise meetings so that only 25% will take place in person, down from 60% today.” For Lifesize, constantly improving the meeting experience and the technologies that enable remote, in-person and hybrid work is a core anchor to our stated vision of building the world’s leading unified communications company. Our heritage is rooted in video conferencing and collaboration meeting solutions, and we look forward to continuing to execute and deliver the leading cloud service, apps, meeting room systems and support that customers have come to expect from Lifesize and our worldwide partner ecosystem.
