Strong Sales of Lifesize High Definition Video Communications Products Fuel Worldwide Expansion

Lifesize, the high definition video communications company, today announced the expansion of its worldwide operations into Japan, India and Germany. Having recently achieved a significant milestone of 1000 Lifesize® Room™ systems shipped since the product’s release last December, Lifesize is continuing to experience strong market adoption for its innovative high definition product line. This growth in sales has largely contributed to Lifesize’s decision to expand internationally.

Lifesize entered the Japan market last year with the addition of three video communications resellers to its channel partner program, which have since driven impressive interest for Lifesize products. The introduction of Lifesize® Team™ − a high definition video communications system for project teams – and the market potential it will create, has prompted Lifesize to create a Japanese subsidiary to provide more direct Lifesize support in the region. Lifesize already has established subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Singapore, with Hong Kong serving as the central Lifesize operation in APAC.

“With the recent announcement of Lifesize Team and the Japanese subsidiary, Lifesize is demonstrating a very strong commitment to the Japan market,” said Keisuke Hashimoto, managing editor at CNA Report Japan. “Lifesize has performed well in the short time they have been selling products through their Japanese channel partners, and we expect they will continue to do so over the coming years.”

In addition, Lifesize has established a subsidiary in India and today announced a new engineering operation in Bangalore. The Lifesize Bangalore Design Center will focus on software development and contribute to engineering efforts across the company’s high definition video product line. Project teams in Bangalore and Austin will be able to closely collaborate on a daily basis using Lifesize Team.

“In a constantly evolving world where businesses of all types must remain agile and respond quickly to change, the ability for them to have ongoing and meaningful communications with employees and partners becomes even more imperative,” said Craig Malloy, CEO of Lifesize. “At Lifesize we use our own products daily to work together and communicate face-to-face with others around the globe, so we are excited to see the growing interest in our high definition video products from SMBs and enterprises alike.”

In addition to Lifesize’s current European subsidiaries in the U.K. and France, Lifesize has also recently opened a regional sales office outside Munich, Germany. Having a centralized EMEA operation in Germany enables Lifesize to extend even greater support to its southern European channel partners and expand sales opportunities across the region.
