Lifesize 220 series endpoints and Lifesize Bridge are now compatible with key Avaya Aura® infrastructure

Lifesize, a division of Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGI) (SIX: LOGN) and a world leader in HD video collaboration, today announced that its Lifesize 220 endpoint products (Lifesize® Team 220™Lifesize® Room 220™ and Lifesize® Express 220™) as well as Lifesize® Passport™, Lifesize® Passport Connect™ and Lifesize® Bridge™ are compliant with leading IP telephony solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication solutions.

These Lifesize solutions are built to help businesses collaborate across the enterprise over HD video conferencing with anyone, anywhere, while pushing the boundaries of ease of use, mobility and accessibility. These applications have been compliance tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura® Session Manager 6.1 and Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0.1, which demonstrates the open, standards-based Avaya Aura architecture model.  They have been further tested with Avaya one-X® Communicator 6.1.3.  Lifesize 220 endpoints, Lifesize® Passport™, and Lifesize® Passport Connect™ were also tested with Avaya Desktop Video Device (ADVD) 1.1.

“Our philosophy at Lifesize is to relentlessly innovate to deliver the best quality and most flexible video experience to our customers, which includes making improvements to the behind-the-scenes infrastructure,” said Matt Collier, senior vice president of corporate development at Lifesize. “We believe that video will only become broadly adopted when it is easy to integrate into a company’s existing network. By successfully achieving interoperability with Avaya platforms, we are making that integration experience seamless.”

Lifesize is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

As a Technology Partner in the program, Lifesize is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

“Lifesize video conferencing endpoints have undergone formalized interoperability testing,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations, Avaya. “Working with independent technology companies to assess compatibility through the Avaya DevConnect Program helps us ensure that Avaya customers can confidently upgrade and leverage the latest technologies from Avaya.”
