First Annual DCI Party to Connect Attendees and Performances between San Antonio and Austin, Texas through Lifesize High Definition Video Communications Technology

Lifesize, the high definition video communications company, today announced that as a supporter and sponsor of the Digital Convergence Initiative (DCI), its high definition video communications technology will connect attendees and performances at DCI’s first annual SXSW party. With one event taking place in Austin and another simultaneously occurring in San Antonio, both Texas locations will be linked to enable live interaction between venues.

The DCI SXSW Connect-Converge-Conquer Party will take place on March 14, 2006 from 7pm to midnight at Ballet Austin and from 7pm to 11pm at the Weston Centre in San Antonio. Attendees will be able to interact with their fellow party-goers and view live performances in both locations through Lifesize® Room™ – a high definition video communications system that provides crystal clear video clarity and high fidelity audio for a productive, true-to-life experience.

DCI is a project of the Greater Austin-San Antonio Corridor Council designed to promote economic growth. In addition to the SXSW party on March 14, DCI will also be powering a SXSW panel track session on Digital Convergence. For more information, visit www.dcitexas.org.
